Kabayan Night Market – Al Muraqqabat, Deira

Image
Al Muraqqabat, Deira Kabayan Night Market sits along 37th Street in Al Muraqqabat, a familiar stretch in Deira where many Filipinos gather after work. February 8, 2022. Tintin and J.F. That evening, TinTin and I found a small table beneath the lights and ordered dinner. Around us were the usual sounds — utensils against plates, Tagalog conversations, and the tired laughter that follows long shifts. For many OFWs, places like this are more than just night markets. They are temporary commons — where distance from home feels slightly smaller, even if only for a meal. Photographed on Sony a6000.

Khor Fakkan Beach & Gulf of Oman Flashback: Khor Fakkan Beach - Sharjah - United Arab Emirates. Khris and I drove from Dubai to Khor Fakkan in the emirate of Sharjah, from the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman. We got to Khor Fakkan right before 8 PM, but as you can see, it was HOT & HUMID. This was September in UAE so expect it to be hotter than hell. What is Pinoybuilt.com? Pinoybuilt.com is an online Filipino Community built on Google technoloogy. February 23, 2022.  See the 'Surreal' Water Feature at Expo 2020 Dubai The Expo 2020 Water Feature, also known as Surreal, pushes the boundaries of a typical fountain. Instead of shooting up into the air, the water falls, and instead of just waltzing to music, it invites its age-old nemesis fire for company. Mark Fuller, CEO and founder of California-based Water Entertainment Technologies (WET), tells Gulf News the inspiration comes from the 4,000-year-old gold ring – the very piece of jewellery that helped write the lore of Expo 2020 Dubai. We enjoyed the 'Surreal' Waterfall I think we stayed here the longest, taking off our shoes, and enjoying the water rushing down on you and through your toes. It was "surreal." 😉 JF, Tin, Khrixia, Grace, Gab. Dubai, UAE.
