DXB: Habibi has my backpack!

What are the odds the guy in front of me would have the same exact backpack as me?

I wonder if he also got it from Costco for his kids, and he ended up using it because they changed their minds. August 23. Dubai International Airport, United Arab Emirates.

Habibi. Hello Dubai!

The Arabic word habibi literally translates to "my love" and is often used as a term of endearment for friends, family, or significant others. It can also be translated as "my dear," "my darling," or "beloved". Habibi is one of the most commonly used terms of endearment and can be used casually between friends, similar to the word "buddy". It can also be used between lovers, but the tone used can indicate the intended meaning.

There are two forms of the word habibi, one for men and one for women. Habibi is used for men, while habibati is used for women. Some say that the word can sound archaic and may be too heavy for casual conversations, so it's best to use it sparingly and only when someone addresses you first.
